What is Metabolic Express Training – METBurn?
Metabolic Express Training (METBurn)—formerly known as Underground Fitness Revolution (2009-2020)—is a fitness and nutrition coaching program for adults 30-plus that want to regain lost fitness from their 20’s and early 30’s or continue to stay fit as they age gracefully like a fine wine into their 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and beyond!
We begin losing strength, muscle, and conditioning in our 20’s as a result of a sedentary lifestyle, less physical labor and exercise, careers, family, and other commitments. With that comes weight gain, health issues, and chronic pain or injuries.
METBurn was created to provide the proper fitness and nutrition coaching that adults in their 30’s and beyond need.
Don’t compare yourself to what you looked like or what you were able to do in your teens, 20’s, and even your early 30’s. You may not be able to do all the things you did when you were younger. However, there’s no reason you cannot improve with age!
Can you gain strength and muscle as you age?
Absolutely! And the research is very clear on this (even into your 90’s). Will you be as strong as you were in your younger days? Maybe not.
Many adults don’t hit their peak strength gains until their mid-to-late 30’s (like me and many of my former clients). And many others won’t achieve their leanest and most defined body until their 30’s, 40’s, or 50’s. In fact, many adults achieve their best cardiovascular fitness well into their 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s.
But those who didn’t exercise when they were younger will be stronger than ever if they train properly in their 30’s – 80’s!
And that’s where METBurn comes in.
Rather than performing exercises that cause pain, injury, and frustration, it’s time to focus on a fitness program that is easy on your joints while still allowing you to make tremendous strength, muscle, and conditioning progress while losing body fat and improving your health, longevity, and quality of life!
There are many ways to increase strength and build muscle beyond just increasing the load or performing more repetitions. As we age, there comes a point where going heavier becomes problematic on some exercises. This is where intelligent program design and proper exercise selection comes into play.
